Golden Treated Bukhari Rice
 
Ingredients
150 gm Golden Treat
150 gm Serimas/Palmas
Mixed spices Cinnamon sticks, cardomon, Staranise, cloves
1 kg Basmati Rice – washed and drained
1 whole Chicken cut 8
1 kg Sliced onion
2 inch Ginger
50 gm Garlic
70 gm Ggreen chilli
1 tub Plain yoghurt
150 gm Khorma spices, mix with water to form a paste
250 gm Tomato puree
1.4 litre Chicken stock (plus minus)
Salt and Sugar to Taste
Coriander Leaf Cut to 1.5 inches long
Cashew Nuts  
Raisins  
 
Methods
1. Blend the ginger, garlic, green chilli.

In a large pot, sauté the Blended ingredients with Golden Treat and Serimas/Palmas. Dash in the Mixed spices.

Add in the sliced onions. Sauté until golden brown. Add the tomato puree and stir. Leave it for 3 minutes. After that continue to sauté the ingredients with the Khorma spices until it is really cooked.

Put in the chicken, yoghurt, salt and sugar. Stir well. Leave for 5 minute. Pour in the chicken stock and simmer for 20 minutes.

Adjust the flavour. Put in the rice , stir well and increase heat for the first 15 minutes. When the rice has volumized, reduce the heat, put in the remaining ingredients – coriander leaf, cashew nuts and raisins. Observe the rice if it is too dry or the rice does not volumize properly add some 1 cup of hot chicken stock.

Remove from heat when rice is properly cooked
